Charles A. Barrier, Sr. was saved at Lane Street Baptist Church in Kannapolis, North Carolina, on June 27, 1993. After spending 9 years in the field of Physical Therapy as a Wound Care Specialist, he surrendered to the call of God on his life to preach the gospel in September of 2000. He was licensed to preach in October of 2000, ordained in November of 2001, and after leaving the field of Physical Therapy he accepted the call to pastor Baptist churches in North Carolina and then Virginia. He has served as Pastor of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, VA, since 2003. Bro. Barrier has an Associate of Applied Sciences degree from Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC; Bachelor of Ministry degree from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, GA; and Master of Theology and Doctor of Theology degrees from Slidell Baptist Seminary in Slidell, LA. He has taught at Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC; Belle Meadows Baptist College in Bristol, VA; Global Bible University in Matagalpa, Nicaragua; Bible Baptist College of the Carribean in St. Vincent; and is the Founder and President of Calvary Baptist Bible College in Pennington Gap, VA.

Charles A. Barrier, Jr. was saved at age 15 on May 29, 2013. He surrendered to the call of God on his life to preach the gospel on June 27, 2015. He was licensed to preach in September of 2015 and began attending CBBC the same year. Mr. Barrier has a Bachelor of Mathematics (Education) degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN, and a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from CBBC. He recently accepted the position as associate pastor.
